20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
Feb. 23rd, 2007 10:03 amI saw the 1954 Disney version of the film last night. I was pleasantly surprised - the special effects hold up pretty darn well, and the Nautilus is awesome. Gave me all sorts of roleplaying game inspiration. If only I was still running a Pulp campaign! Of course, in this version, Captain Nemo is a sick man, but not a Sikh man.
The most disturbing portion of the film is Kirk Douglas's rump-shaking musical number. I did not need to see that man gyrate in pants that tight. Who knew he could sing?
