Iconic Debut
Apr. 20th, 2007 10:30 amNew Livejournal icon, celebrating my Magic : The Gathering hobby. While there are a number of turtle creatures in Magic, and I even have a CandidGamera custom card made by a fellow on one of the messageboards I frequent, I felt one of the "real" cards would be best, and none of the official cards are more appropriate than 'Giant Turtle'.
Giant Turtle was published in the Legends expansion, and I believe it hasn't seen the light of day since. It's not a bad creature, by the standards of the times, but compared to, say, Hypnotic Specter, it lacks. For three mana, one gets a two-power, four-toughness creature - with the drawback that it can only attack every other turn.
I like that. Laziness. I can relate to that.
So now I have icons for MST3K, Magic, Comics, Movies, Greg the Bunny, and Video Games. I think I need a better Koopa icon, though. And, of course, I need a proper D&D icon - either a Tarrasque, or a Dragon Turtle.
